Advanced Opportunities

All of our students have access to Fast Forward funds through the Idaho State Department of Education's Advanced Opportunities Program. These funds are used to cover the cost of tuition for college or career technical courses completed while enrolled in a public high school.

What does this mean? This means that qualifying students are able to attend college courses online or on campus and receive both college and high school credit for the class. This can give the student a head start on their post-secondary goals, allow them to earn various certificates before graduating high school, and saves money on tuition! In addition, dual enrollment gives the student an opportunity to explore the idea of continued education while still under the safe umbrella of their high school family!

What does a qualified student look like?

  • At least half of your high school credits completed (23)

  • History of good attendance

  • Genuine interest in pursuing college or trade school

  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA - having under a 3.0 does not disqualify you as long as the above criteria can be proven.
