Mental Health Services at KBA

Kootenai Bridge Academy is pleased to offer free mental health counseling with licensed counselor Scott Burke, LCSW, available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at KBA. For distance learning students, video sessions can be arranged. If students have specific preferences, such as gender, we can also provide online services through BetterHelp.

If you're interested in Scott’s services, please email him at noeticacounseling@gmail.com. For any additional questions, feel free to reach out via email or visit KBA during his office hours.

While this service is funded by KBA, all sessions and documentation are stored on a separate server. No information regarding mental health symptoms or diagnoses will be shared with administrators or staff without appropriate consent.

Scott A. Burke, LCSW

Here’s a bit about me: I’ve been working with youth and adolescents facing mental health challenges in North Idaho since 2001. My primary training has been as a Youth and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist.

I’m well-versed in current treatments for common mental health issues and have a particular passion for supporting adolescents with various neurodivergent conditions, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Nonverbal Learning Disorders. Over the years, I’ve developed metaphors, tips, and techniques aimed at helping neurodivergent students and their families transform perceived “symptoms” into “superpowers.”

My philosophy is that while mental illness may not be completely “cured,” its impact can be significantly reduced, allowing individuals to lead fulfilling lives with the right combination of psychiatric and psychological support.

I look forward to working with the students and families at Kootenai Bridge Academy!
